Charcoal Briquetting
The ideal material for charcoal briquetting is harder wood such as hickory and oak, and the finished briquette is essentially 90 percent char.
Coal powder is another main ingredient for charcoal briquetting. In generally, charcoal briquettes may contain some kind of binding agents such as starch to keep their form. And for quicker lighting and burning, they may be treated with an accelerant like nitrate. The mixed ingredients will be transported to the molds where high pressure and temperature help the briquetting.
The main advantage of charcoal briquettes is environmentally friendly since the main raw material is wood scraps which are treated as wood wastes.
